Mini carbon filters: Elegoo or Anycubic air purifiers

Mini carbon filters, such as the Elegoo or Anycubic air purifier, designed to fit inside a resin 3D printer may not be as effective as desired in mitigating the toxic fumes generated during the printing process. Due to their limited size and capacity, a single filter may not provide sufficient filtration to adequately capture and neutralize all the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released by the resin materials. We found it necessary to tape four of these mini filters inside the printer cover to effectively reduce the smell of resin during printing. This makeshift solution can improve the filtration capacity. However, there is no way to determine the amount of fumes or VOCs that are escaping into the workspace. It's also necessary to recharge all four batteries before the next use. It’s preferable and safer to ventilate all the air from the 3D printer outside, or at least through a larger carbon filter.
