Using an enclosure such as a 'grow tent' is not required with compatible resin 3D printers and the universal adapters. (Some 3D printers may require an enclosure.) Please see the details at the bottom of this page. Additionally, an enclosure is required for FDM printers.

Airflow through the duct is powered by double inline fans, and is super quiet. Running two fans inside the 4" duct achieves an airflow of 10 MPH or 75 CFM. The volume of the airflow is measured at 30+ complete air changes per minute within a resin 3d printer.

Effectiveness of the ventilation system depends on the size of the area and how well-sealed your setup is. This system has been tested for the specific needs of a single 3d printer with the 4" exhaust duct mounted directly to the printer itself. For larger open spaces or less enclosed environments, a more powerful commercial grade system may be necessary. This product is not rated or tested for applications such as paint spray booth, welding, soldering, or woodworking dust collection.

This system will work with any resin/SLA or FDM 3d printer, and may be combined with other components and upgrades to build your complete solution.

Some snap-together assembly is required.

Alternatively, some 3d printers may expel air from a vent on the machine, which provides another mount point for ventilation. Resin/SLA 3d printers can often be ventilated without an enclosure. If you have one of the 3d printer models listed below, you may need an enclosure. Another option is drilling a few small holes in the polycarbonate UV cover. We provide a template for this purpose. Our attachment adapters work for all these applications.

These 3d printers generally do not require an enclosure: with cooling fans inside the case and an outlet on the side or back. The 3D Venting Duct System can be connected directly to the printer. Mount the air intake at the 3d printer vent, fumes will be captured and expelled.

It's working well

I got the 3D Printer Ventilation System from 3D Venting, and I am glad that I did. The whole system is easy to put together and it does work well. The fans run quiet. It significantly reduced the fumes from my resin printer. I do recommend this to anyone, but especially if you have an Elegoo Saturn printer - super easy setup. It's a good idea to reduce the fumes from their 3D printer, and this does the job well.

I bought this when I finally went about making a container to house my printer and haven't had an issue with fumes/smell since. Works as advertised and perfect for what I as a layman needed.

Its good…

This is a good accessory for my Saturn 2 to help reduce the smell and fumes, but sadly it didn't fully eliminate the smell. The setup for easy and the dual fans are a decent extractor, i was kinda hoping for it to solve the smell but however there is still a tiny amount of smell when printing.

Used this for my Saturn 2, it super easy to install and the dual fans really help, i wish it completely eliminated the smell but it only lessed it, still a nice product

Great concept, but…

This is a great concept in theory, but does not fit my needs. There are still much noxious fumes being emitted into the surrounding area due to the system not being an air tight system. The fans are not strong enough to push the air through my louvre exhaust outlet. I really wanted this to work, but it just isn’t. But it was definitely worth a shot.
